It’s kind of like a date night… with a third wheel.

As I’m sure you’ve probably noticed by now, planning a wedding can be kinnnda hectic. It’s a good hectic and totally worth it but, nonetheless, it takes a lot of time & energy! Your engagement session is the one thing on your planning to-do list that is just for you and your fiancé.

Let’s get together & capture memories of hiking in to your favorite waterfall or dancing on the beach where you met. Maybe it’s at your favorite winery or cupcake shop! Take the time from all the wedding flurry & check off the one ‘to do’ item that’s simply about you two having fun.

The biggest reason I offer complimentary engagement sessions for my couples is to get to know you! I want to cultivate a relationship with you & your forever. I mean, I am going to be your third wheel on the biggest day of your lives so why shouldn’t we spend a little time together beforehand?!

What do I do with my hands?!

Being in front of a camera can be nerve wrecking. The last thing I want for you is to be uncomfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day! Your wedding photos are an investment. So let’s take some time & get to know one another so when your big day rolls around, you’ll already know what to expect from me & I’ll already know what to expect from you. I’ll have an idea of what loosens you up & you won’t be wondering “oh man, is she going to make me stand at my bad angle or make me prom pose??”. We’ll have worked alllll of that out way in advance!

TIPS N’ TRICKS

Tips on how to make the most of your engagement sesh.

Come prepared to have fun. I will position you & give you direction. It’s up to you & your partner to come prepared to moooove. There might be dancing. Maybe some piggy back rides. Hip bumps. Swaying. If you want to grab some brewskies before our session to help you get comfortable, I’m down for that! Whatever it takes to make you both ready to have great time together.

Think through what’s important to you. Is it the brewery you met at? A special playlist with your fave bands? Matching baseball jerseys? I totally send you an engagement session questionnaire to prompt some of these questions for you two to talk through but I encourage you to take the time to think about what makes you, YOU and how we can incorporate that in your session.

Try on your day-of look. If you can swing it, try to do your makeup & hair trial the same day! This is a free opportunity to figure out what you like & see how it photographs professionally!
